To shed light on the Underground Art Scene

November 23, 2009 --- Miami, FL --- In the midst of mainstream art and this year’s Art Basel Miami frenzy, where close nit galleries and political pull embody ones status in the art world, Eazy Street Art gallery, along with raw talent from throughout the United States and Canada band together to present Eat Your Art Out this December 3 – 6, 2009. The show is a collection of diverse street and tattoo art created by emerging artists whose vision encompasses erasing the barrier that separates the affluent art scene from the underground art world.

Eat Your Art Out is a movement toward bringing in emerging artists to push the envelope outside of mainstream art and make it socially warranted in today’s art scene. Artists from a variety of artistic genres have collaborated together for one week to exhibit a tattoo and graffiti fusion of diverse mediums presented on canvas, multimedia, sculptures, installations and photography. Participating artists include, Chet Zar, Edgar Velasquez, Crome, Abstrk, Nineteen, AS1, Quake, Evils, Dekal, Gere, Juan Velasquez, Michael D. Walsh, Billi Kid, Joshua Noblock, Ryan Mackeen, Seth Mathurin, Michael Lee Suarez, John Vale. The exhibition includes collaboration with various other art groups including Primary Flights, Super Rad Toys and Modani Furniture. “The common goal here is to showcase subversive artworks and make a statement in today’s conventional art scene,” says Evils from the MSG Cartel.

Eazy Street Gallery will also feature live mural paintings on the exterior of the building by Primary Flights throughout the entire weekend. Hand painted Nyngio Toys from Super Rad Toys will be on display during the exhibition. And in addition,  custom painted designer chairs, from various Eat Your Art Out artists, will be reveled at the Modani Furniture Showroom located at 818 NE 36th Street, Miami, FL 33139.
